Wellness can also be defined as an active process by which you become aware of and make choices toward a more successful existence.

Since lifestyle has been found to be the single most important factor determining your pattern of general health, it’s important that you be educated to take charge of your daily life and set healthy lifestyle goals.

The choices you make have a dominant influence on your health and wellness. 

Take Control

While traditional medicine concentrates on eliminating symptoms, the wellness approach encourages you to take personal responsibility for your health by addressing the cause.

Wellness places emphasis on preventing illness and prolonging life through education. 

The majority of sub-health conditions, and the underlying cause of disease, are cumulative effects (poor stress management over periods of time, faulty nutritional patterns, unhealthy habits) and environmental factors that cause biological imbalances leading to a weakening of the body’s defenses and the subsequent breakdown in health.

Listen To Your Body

Disease is a manifestation of our body trying to correct imbalances. The body alerts us to when a problem arises.

During this time we can either respond, ignore the message, or try to suppress the symptoms.

By ignoring the problem, the symptoms will persist and eventually cause the body to break down structurally. In order to live a happier and healthy life, we must identify our destructive lifestyles and correct them.
